MEN AT WORK - THE RETURN OF QUENTIN FRANCIS

King City Online ©

Quentin Francis are an exciting indie pop-rock group inspired by the likes of Sports Team, The Vaccines and The Strokes. They incorporate their varied playing styles into a unique blend of pop-tinged indie-rock, full of vocal attitude, catchy hooks and driving guitars. The band is comprised of Matty George on vocals and rhythm guitar, Ross Carley on lead guitar, bassist Luke McCrohon and James Morris on drums. The individual members have been staples of the Birmingham music since 2017, having been involved in outfits like Echo Beach!, The Sunset Beach Hut and La Dharma, and now bring a breath of fresh air to the scene with their effervescent and charismatic pop-rock.

Their wonderfully infectious debut release 'Molly' saw them playlisted by the Brum Radio A-list and attracted the attention of international radio stations as well as well-deserved national and local coverage from publications such as Clout and Pictor mag. Well known for their DIY approach to music, their greatly-received debut music video can be seen here:

The band now return to the airwaves with their second single ‘Work’ and its accompanying music video, a bouncy number which follows in the upbeat, dancing footsteps of their previous release.

As frontman Matty George explains ‘The song is basically about being so close to the freedom and new possibilities that come with moving on to a new position or job.’ This optimistic outlook is reflected in the poppy and uplifting vibe of the track; ‘I wanted to make it bright and poppy and fun so people could groove to it. Yeah, work sucks but that doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun at it.”

Work by Quentin Francis is available to buy and stream right now.
